The Fashion Genome Project

Pandora for music. Netflix for movies and television. Artsy for art. Artémis for fashion

Making fashion more accessible to all. The Fashion Genome Project is the classification system and technological framework that powers The Artémis Fashion Gallery and connectively powers our platform. It maps the characteristics (we call them “genes”) that connect designers, fashion garments, brands, retailers, fashion supply chain, fashion media system, celebrities and testimonials, artisans, textiles, techniques across history. There are currently thousands of characteristics we are developing in The Fashion Genome Project, including fashion historical movements, fashion segments, styles, and formal qualities that are identified by our in-house team and partners: fashion historians, experts, global fashion industry partners, gallery and museum curators, independent curators, fashion professionals, fashion academic partners and contributors. If you are interested in participating in the fashion genome project, please contact your dedicated Liaison or contact us here.
